Overview: Antebellum is a vertical slice of a 3D Action-Adventure Unity game.

Role: Creative Leader and Programmer.

Duration: 7 months.

Engine: Unity.

Acquired skills: I had the opportunity to learn what it means to be a Creative Leader. I had to coordinate people and make sure the team's creative vision was unique. I also learnt much about Unity and acquired knowledge about some of its functionalitites, especially regarding lighting and performance. I also learnt how to degub using Visual Studio.

Improved skills: I improved my coding skills, design skills, and management skills.

Areas for improvement: The game can use better 3D models and actually working animations. Also, once the player dies, they have to go through the tutorial again; this could be easily fixed. The AI might be slightly improved.

What I'm proud of: The project was ambitious and it was scoped down twice, but it looked and felt good in the end. I am proud of the fact that I have learnt how to debug and fix bugs. As Creative Leader, I am proud I managed to implement story into a gameplay-focused game. I am proud I managed to keep myself focused on this project for 7 months.
